Before the big departure to meet the baby wolves

Before we left for this long-awaited first meeting with the Cubs, I had the opportunity to chat with the founder of the LUPO Wolf Sanctuary. We talked about the immense work accomplished over several months to build the enclosure, thanks to a fantastic team. The meeting and transportation of the Cubs were carefully planned.

It is with great emotion that the founder shared his thoughts after five years of research and volunteer involvement, spent through several zoological gardens, shelters in Canada and Quebec, as well as in the two largest wolf centers in North America. He expressed his deep gratitude to the volunteers and all those who provided much-needed support to the project.
He looks forward to developing a genuine relationship with the Cubs once they arrive at the sanctuary. Finally, the project can begin, and he looks forward to raising public awareness of the importance of the wolf in the ecology of Quebec and in the fauna/flora in general.

The wolf is much more than a simple animal for the founder, he considers it a mystical symbol whose song resonates in the human soul. The ultimate goal of the sanctuary is to connect deeply with the wolf and all its symbolism, while respecting this fascinating being essential to the balance of our ecosystem.
