Guided Tour Level 2- Wolf Ethogram
Available starting November 30th - Reservations only. Please contact us at info@sanctuairelupo.ca to book your tour.
If you've already experienced our Guided Tour, you're ready for the next step with our Guided Tour Level 2: Wolf Ethogram.
This tour delves deeper into the fascinating world of wolf behavior through the lens of an ethogram, a catalog of behaviors used to systematically record animal actions. At the Lupo Wolf Sanctuary, we have begun to catalog the behaviors of our ambassador wolves. In collaboration with the International Wolf Center, we classify wolf interactions into five main behavioral categories: Dominance, Food or Predation, Social, Investigatory, and Rest.
During the tour, you’ll learn how wolves communicate both verbally and non-verbally. The ethogram will help you observe and understand the subtle nuances of wolf behavior, from their body language to their interactions with each other. The public will be involved in this process by using an "ethogram" of their own, turning the experience into a fun and educational activity.
Tour Highlights:
-
Dominance: Discover how wolves exhibit dominance through various behaviors, from resisting aggression to asserting control within the pack.
-
